Are you in need of a place to do homework after school, chill during gap periods on Tuesdays, or have study dates with your friends after school? If so, the Whata Peach, a smoothie and coffee shop is the place for you!

Located on Chatsworth Street, Whata Peach opened on June 2, 2024, festooned with pink walls and ball pendant lights, this new local cafe invites customers throughout the Granada Hills area. Whata Peach is welcome to all and is the perfect place for students to stop in for a treat.

“We are very excited to be near a high school, and we are excited to be able to have a nice spot for students,” Whata Peach owner Mike Eliasyan said.

The design of the drink shop is particularly attractive to students. Its walls are blasted with light pink, with small peach designs framed in small wooden portraits.

Not only do the seating areas have wall chargers, which are often sought-after by high school students wanting to complete their homework, but they also have a pink assortment of pillow covers that give students a soft surface to sit on while working.

“My favorite part of the restaurant is all of the seating arrangements for the students,” Eliasyan said.

Peach iconography is placed in every corner of the restaurant. This includes stuffed peaches hanging over shelves, and cute pictures of cartoon peaches placed on the walls. Peachy references are everywhere.

Not only is the decoration of the restaurant absolutely adorable, but it also has a cute menu to come along with it. For instance, the Chunky Chocolate Smoothie is full of peanut butter flavor and is the perfect treat for peanut butter lovers and students with a sweet tooth.

Their menu has a variety of items including smoothies, toast, acai bowls, and coffee. These options are perfect for athletes and students with a 0 period to buy an on-the-go snack for an extra energy boost. Fitting with the adorable aesthetic and atmosphere, even their food is well-designed. Whether it’s the layers of banana on their banana toast or the peanut butter drizzle on their strawberry toast, Whata Peach is a delight for the eyes and taste buds.

“I liked the warm layout and atmosphere of Whata Peach,” junior Stella Kim said. “The food and decorations complement each other well, making the cafe a memorable and cozy visit.”

Overall, Whata Peach offers a happy and spirited vibe for students to be able to come in and relax after a long day of school work. If you had a rough day at school, coming into Whata Peach will uplift you from your worries, and looking at all of the sweet drinks and charming environment is sure to make you feel at peace.
