Imagine sitting on the couch by yourself and hearing your stomach start to growl. We all have those times when we are home alone, starving, and claim we have nothing to eat. Students always believe that to enjoy a meal, it has to take an hour to make and look like a masterpiece, but it does not. In reality, there are many foods in our homes that we could eat, but we are often too lazy to make food or we simply just do not know how. Well, here are some easy, tasteful meal ideas that you can make right in your own home by yourself.
With the unusual tomato flavor mixed with the crunch of the tortilla, spaghetti tacos are a must-eat when you are craving something filling. First, boil about six cups of water. After the water is boiling, put a box of spaghetti noodles in the water and leave them there for about seven minutes or until they are soft. Get a taco shell or a flour tortilla and warm it up. When the noodles are done, start warming up the spaghetti sauce in a pot for about ten minutes. After the sauce is warm, mix it together with the cooked noodles. Put the spaghetti inside of the taco and there you have it, spaghetti tacos!
Egg & Cheese Burrito
Breakfast? For dinner? Yes, egg and cheese burritos are a simple, quick, and tasty meal that will satisfy all hunger. Although this sounds like something generic, there are many different ingredients that could be added to spice it up. First, get two eggs and scramble them until they are no longer runny. Grab a tortilla and warm it up. Add shredded cheese and put the scrambled eggs on the warmed tortilla. Sprinkle some cheese on the eggs and if you want, add some ketchup or salsa to give the burrito a little kick. If there are any sausages or hash browns available, add those to the meal for a little variety. An egg burrito is the perfect idea for an easy, delicious meal for students who don’t have time and need a meal on the go!
Hot Dogs & Mac n’ Cheese
I know what you are thinking, hot dogs and mac n’ cheese? Sounds gross but it is one of the best food combinations there is.The hot dogs compliment the cheesy noodles just right. First, get a box of Kraft mac n’ cheese and follow the directions. As soon as the mac n’ cheese is almost done, start slicing the hot dogs in skinny circular shapes. As soon as the mac and cheese is done, put the hot dogs in with the mac n’cheese to heat them up. A childhood favorite never goes out of style!
Ham & Cheese Quesadillas
Similar to Hot Pockets, ham and cheese quesadillas are a melt in your mouth snack that are ready in less than ten minutes. Most people do not normally think of putting ham in a quesadilla, but the chances of you falling in love are high! First, you take two tortillas and then sprinkle a thick layer of shredded cheese on the bottom of the tortilla. Then, get deli ham out of your refrigerator and start ripping it into small pieces and place them on top of the cheese. Grab the second tortilla, place it on top of the other, and put it in a pan. With a low flame, heat the quesadilla up until the cheese is melted on both sides and voila, a delicious ham and cheese quesadilla.
